Requiem for Justice is an attempt by a civil society network to manifest the role that art plays to protest against injustice, to reflect upon and analyze human shortcomings in the face of today’s challenges, and to imagine a better future. The event brings together around sixty artists, poets, novelists, academics and activists from over 15 countries whose work covers diverse topics and genres. The four days of the event included discussions, concerts, theater performances, talks, exhibitions, film screenings, poetry recitals, and even a cooking show!
The event is a moment to celebrate survival, to connect with wider circles and to explore what is possible–and more importantly, what is impossible but important to try and reach.
