Philip Himberg is a consultant for Arts and Culture, focusing on artistic residencies, and also a published author. He was recently the Executive Director of MacDowell, the US’s oldest artist residency program, which provides 300 Fellowships year round for US and Global artmakers over seven artistic disciplines. Previously, Philip served as the Artistic Director of the Sundance Institute Theatre Program for 23 years – a developmental lab for American, Middle Eastern and North and East African theatre makers. Philip is also a playwright, whose play PAPER DOLLS, an adaptation of the Israeli documentary film, premiered in London and Washington, DC. Currently he lives in Lisbon, Portugal. He is also a doctor of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture.
