Fairooz Al-Tamimi is a published author and cultural entrepreneur who believes in the power of culture, innovation, and diversity to drive social justice and social transformation. With over three decades of experience, she has worked across the cultural, media, innovation, and development sectors in the Arab region and Europe. She is the author of three published books.

Until 2013, Fairooz worked in the Arab region in a variety of cultural and development roles, including serving as Executive Director of the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture (AFAC) and as Manager of the Jordan Film Fund at the Royal Film Commission. Since relocating to Europe, she has focused on culture, innovation, and sustainability.

From 2020 to 2025, she served as Strategic Development Director at Trans Europe Halles (TEH), one of Europe’s leading networks of independent cultural centres. During her time at TEH, she founded the Cultural Transformation Movement (CTM), an initiative advocating for greater diversity and representation in the European cultural sector.

Fairooz has been a regular contributor to Arabic and Swedish newspapers and media outlets. She is an accredited ISO global expert in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Diversity Management, and Social Responsibility. She was appointed Executive Director of Action for Hope in 2025.
