Violinist, composer, musicologist and teacher, Jasser Haj Youssef is one of the most outstanding musicians of his generation.

Jasser Haj Youssef plays modern violin, baroque viola d’amore, composes, directs and performs with numerous artists from all walks of life from Barbara Hendricks to Youssou N’Dour or Sister Marie Keyrouz and stars of the opera world and the diva Simone Kermes.

Graduated with a degree in Music, Musicology and Education, Jasserperforms worldwide and recently he directed the Chamber Orchestra of Paris at the Philharmonie of Paris, in France, the Mediterranean Youth Orchestra and Les Musiciens du Louvre.

Jasser Haj Youssef is also co-author of the book “The Jazz and the Orient” (canopé 2015) and gives conferences in several universities in Europe, America and the Arab world.

The compositions of his first album “Sira” are studied in the baccalaureate program in France.

Through his second album “Resonance”, « Jasser Haj Youssef has opened a new way  in the history of the Baroque viola d’amore. »
