Ismail Harba

Ismail Harba, from Qusayr, Homs, had to come to Lebanon in 2014 due to the unfortunate circumstances in his country and started studying at Action for Hope video school in early 2017. He learned editing, directing, dubbing, camera work, decourage, and other cinematic specializations but he prefers to work in sound control and filming. He participated in several exercises at the video school including exercises on filming and sound as well as the animal eye exercise. He worked on the production of several movies including “The Window” and “Friendship and Love” in addition to a reportage on the video school. Ismail considers “The Prophet” movie, inspired by the famous poet Gibran Khalil Gibran’s book, a very influential movie and his favorite director is the Syrian director, Abdellatif Abdelhamid. Ismail loves watching narrative movies, but he prefers working on documentary projects. In addition to his enrollment at the video school, Ismail is in his first year studying accounting at Omar Al Mokhtar institute.
